Sam Houston "Be Free Men" San Jacinto Tee
This is one of my favorite Sam Houston quotes, uttered by the General to the Texians on the cusp of the charge at the Battle of San Jacinto.
"Be men, be free men, that your children may bless their father's name."
Couldn't have said it better myself if I tried. The full pre-battle address runs like this:
We view ourselves on the eve of battle. We are nerved for the contest, and must conquer or perish. It is vain to look for present aid: none is at hand. We must now act or abandon all hope! Rally to the standard, and be no longer the scoff of mercenary tongues! Be men, be free men, that your children may bless their father's name.
The quote is foundational to the Texan soul. The shirt soft and lightweight - ideal for broiling in the Texas sun or layering during a blue norther. It has some stretch if you need it. Solid colors are 100% cotton. I've been living in, washing and wearing mine since 2018. They're still going strong.
Designed with our history in mind.
