Stovepipe Republic of Texas Bottle Opener
Stovepipe Republic of Texas Bottle Opener
Republic of Texas leader and Vice President, Edward Burleson, during his lifetime was described as "good Texas metal - the more it is rubbed, the brighter it shines."
In my hunt for a bottle opener in the shape of pre-1850 Texas, with the stovepipe panhandle that ran clear to Wyoming, I failed. Couldn't find one. Needed one. So I designed one.
This is good Texas metal, grounded in Texas history. The Dodson flag, present at so many early Texas events, inspired the lone star front. Sam Houston at San Jacinto inspired the back. "Be men, be free men, that your children will bless their father's name." I added the seal of the Republic, of course.
It comes outfitted with a keychain attachment, which you can remove if you'd prefer to display this on your bar. It measures about 3" tall.
No Texian household should be without one.
